Vishay Offers Two Quad ESD Diode Protection Arrays in New Ultra-Compact LLP1010-5L Package With 1mm by 1mm Footprint and Low 0.4mm Profile for Board Space Savings
Devices feature low load capacitance of 6.5pF and 12pF, and maximum working ranges of 5V and 9V
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc announced the release of two low-capacitance, quad ESD diode protection arrays in the tiny new LLP1010-5L package using environmentally friendly “green” molding compound.
With a compact 1mm by 1mm footprint and an extremely low 0.4mm profile, the VESD05A4A-HS4 and VESD09A4A-HS4 diode protection arrays are designed to save board space and provide 4-line ESD data port protection in space-limited mobile electronics, such as portable gaming systems, MP3 players, and cell phones.
The two devices differ by their maximum working range, low load capacitance, surge current, and low typical leakage current. Both diodes provide transient protection for four data lines as per IEC 61000 4 2 (ESD) at ±15kV (contact discharge) and ±20kV (air discharge). The lead (Pb)-free devices are compliant with RoHS 2002/95/EC and WEEE 2002/96/EC.
