Miniaturized 0.6 mm Pitch IDC Connector
The new XSR series wire-to-board connector from J.S.T. is the world´s smallest 0.6 mm pitch IDC connector. This miniaturized connector has a mounting height of only 1.45 mm and a depth of 3.0 mm (mated).
The proven twin U-slot insulation
displacement part and a new design approach
to strain relief guarantee a highly reliable electrical contact and excellent wire retention.
The XSR series IDC connector features a positive
mating lock mechanism with audible click,
ensuring user knows connector shell and
header have been successfully mated. Both
the connector body and PCB header are
made of polyamide and meet UL94 V-0
flammability requirements. J.S.T. uses tinned
copper alloy for the connector contacts. The
surface-mount headers are currently available
as side entry version, with a top side entry
type planned. They come in embossed tape packaging for automatic assembly processes.
