Analog Devices offers a complete range
of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog
converters for use in industrial
applications. The offerings include, for
example, the AD5764 and AD7328
devices introduced below. These highly
integrated converters (DAC and ADC
respectively) allow engineers to reduce
design time and overall system cost.
AD5764 D/A Converter
The AD5764 is a complete quad, serial input,
bipolar voltage output digital-to-analog
converter that features 16-bit resolution,
±1 LSB non-linearity (INL and DNL), and
gain-and-offset calibration to less than
1 mV. The device integrates features essential
to reducing design time and overall
system cost, including reference buffers, a
low headroom/wide swing amplifier, a temperature
sensor, power-on reset, an asynchronous
output control for power on/off or
during a fault condition, and additional I/O
lines.

AD7328 A/D Converter
Manufactured on Analog Devices´ iCMOS
process, the AD7328 is a true bipolar, multichannel 12-bit plus sign analog-to-digital
converter. The AD7328 has four softwareselectable
input ranges. By using integrated
control registers, each channel can be programmed
to one of the input ranges. The
AD7328 also contains a channel sequence,
allowing automatic conversions on a group
of pre-programmed input channels.
