The Mobile Intel® GME965 Express chipset provides excellent flexibility and performance
for developers of embedded applications.
By offering outstanding features
such as high graphics and I/O bandwidth,
asset management capabilities, high-speed
storage access and reliable operation, this
chipset addresses the requirements of a
broad range of applications including interactive
clients, gaming, medical devices,
print imaging platforms and industrial
automation equipment. Additionally the
low power chipsets from Intel shown in the
selection guide on this page have been
specifically selected for the embedded
market requiring 5 to 7 years long-term
availability.
The chipset consists of the Intel® 82GME965
Graphics Memory Controller Hub (GMCH)
and the Intel® I/O Controller Hub 8-M (ICH8M). It includes an integrated 32-bit/3D
graphics engine with eight graphics cores,
enabling up to 500 MHz graphics frequency.
Additional features include a high-speed
Front-Side Bus (533/800 MHz), up to 4 GB
of system memory (533/667 MHz DDR2
SODIMM), Intel® Active Management Technology
and Intel® Matrix Storage Technology.
The chipset provides outstanding flexibility
and system performance through
high-bandwidth interfaces such as PCI Express,
Serial ATA, and Hi-Speed USB 2.0
connectivity.
Expanding Intel´s wide range of chipsets for
low power processors, the Mobile Intel®
GME965 Express chipset is optimized for
processor models such as:
| > |
Intel® Core™ Duo T7500
2.2 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 35 W (TDP, Thermal
Design Power) |
| > |
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo L7500
1.6 GHz, 800 MHz FSB, 17 W (TDP, Thermal
Design Power) |
The Mobile Intel® GME965 Express chipset
platform is part of Intel’s comprehensive
validation process, enabling fast deployment
of next-generation platforms to help
developers maximize their competitive
advantage while minimizing development
risks. To efficiently support development,
Intel´s offerings also include an evaluation
board (order code IPDCDGME965MZDK) for
the GME965 chipset.
